Genesis NGN provided a full-lifecycle SAP custom development team to an automotive company struggling to implement new technologies as a part of their Digital Transformation effort and eliminate outdated ones that were causing many problems.

Our Client 

Our client is a global tractor manufacturing company with operations around the world. The company manufactures tractors and farm equipment that it exports around the world. They have a significant presence in the world market for tractors and farming equipment.  

The Problem

Our client is a well-known company in the farming sector but its manufacturing plants were utilizing outdated technologies, which was causing problems such as demand forecasting, inventory management, poor efficiency, wastage of materials, and keeping track of sales leads. And because of these problems, they experienced unproductiveness and losses.  

To solve these problems caused by old technologies, they wanted to transform their business into a digital one.

For this, they select SAP as the driving technology for the digital transformation of the business. They set up a team consisting of in-house engineers as well as external SAP professionals to implement this initiative. However, the management soon realized that the entire initiative has become too complex to manage and the team is not able to achieve the laid-out goals.

The solution

Genesis NGN was contacted by management to look at the whole digital transformation process in a holistic manner and suggest a way forward.

We set up an SAP-certified team of professionals to take this forward. They understood the challenges the company was facing and devised a path forward. 

To connect the physical world of the manufacturing plant with the digital world they made an SAP platform to connect the workers,  tools, machines, and inventories to improve the manufacturing process. Through this platform, the client was able to drive insights based on the data produced by these physical assets. Insights provided by the platforms are used to prevent problems before they occur and to resolve problems that the manufacturer has already encountered. This platform and its supporting technologies can find the problems in real time and tell the managers so that they can take appropriate actions to save time and money.

The system made it possible for managers to monitor everything in real-time and automate the monitoring process where needed.
